Church Dolls
Small dolls have been made from Grandma's hankies for many years. During church services Grandma would take out her hanky and tie a few knots in the right places to make a little cloth doll for her fidgety grandchildren to play with. These became known as church dolls, they were small enough to fit in a pocket and wouldn't make any noise if they were dropped during the service. This is my version of the little dolls.
Each church doll has a ribbon hanging loop in the back for displaying them on a wall or even a Christmas tree. They are beautiful added to the bow of that special baby gift. This little church doll would make a lovely christening or baptism gift too!
Our little hanky doll is made from one mans white handkerchief and measures 12" in length.
